Welcome to Wood Ridge Farm! We are located in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains in lovely Nelson County, Virginia.
Our 300-acre family farm boasts lush fields, multiple ponds/lakes and beautiful views.
Wood's Mill Malting, 4000 square foot state-of-the-art facility can malt up to 2000 pounds per week. We have the capacity to produce 6000 pounds per week of kilned base malts. We also have a large commercial roaster that we use to produce our own crystal, chocolate and other specialty malts.
The Cabin at Wood Ridge Farm, nestled in a secluded
hollow on the farm, is a wonderful retreat cabin where you can relax on our
white sandy beach dotted with tropical plants (seasonally) while you fish in
our 2-acre, deep, fresh water, spring fed, trout stocked lake!
Located on the farm you will notice 2 grass runways. These are maintained for Wood Ridge Air Field.
Wood Ridge Farm is also a fully functional farm! We raise
chickens and Black Angus Steer. Our watermelons are known to be the best
around. We strive to maintain sustainable agriculture using the best farm
practices.
